In this chapter assumption, it is something we accept prematurely as being true, something we do not check out carefully, something we assume to be true. Assumptions can be conscious or unconscious, warranted or unwarranted. The only different is that unconscious and unwarranted assumptions can lead to false reasoning, whereas conscious and warranted assumptions can be a problem solver.
